Birmingham, a city of so many terroristic bombings in the Black community was nicknamed “Bombingham.” I would photograph Birmingham using the sites where Black churches and homes were bombed as points of departure. I want to reconnect the fragments and reconstruct history to make meaning of current symptoms in light of past events.
