iiiiiiiiA W. Eugene Smith Award finalist is asked to respond to a series of queries regarding her work. In response to the inquiry, I wrote an essay in which I examined and explored my motivation for making photographs.

iiiiiiiiI’ve been able to capitalize on the production of my W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography proposal statement by tailoring it into a slide lecture which debuted at Columbia College in Chicago in 1994.

iiiiiiiiSince 1994, I have traveled around the country with this talk. Fees collected for the performance of this lecture have provided ongoing support for Spirit Faith Grace Rage.
